International Home Study Services
Family Resource Center (DBA Adoption Center of Illinois) is an Illinois-licensed, Hague-accredited child welfare agency. Our International Home Study program provides services to prospective adoptive parents living in Illinois who are pursuing an international adoption and working with a separate placing agency (Primary Provider). Our agency is able to complete a home study for any country currently open for adoption. A home study can be conducted anywhere within the state of Illinois.
Please visit the U.S. Department of State website to find out more about country-specific eligibility requirements.
ACI will guide you through the international home study process and complete the very important home study. After your child arrives home, your worker will complete a series of post placement/adoption reports detailing how your child is adjusting to their new home.
Further information on international adoption can be reviewed on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website.
ACI’s all-inclusive fee includes the following:
- Initial Application Interview
- Orientation
- Home Study
- Hague required Education/training
- Up to five post-placement/adoption reports for one child
- Court report if required for an adoption finalization
