About Us

We’re excited to grow our family with another child and to celebrate them as a cherished and integral part of our lives.

Aaron grew up in Virginia and works in higher education. Brent grew up in Michigan and works to improve the court system. We met in Chicago in 2009, got married in 2016, and currently live in a diverse neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. In 2022 our lives forever changed with adopting our daughter Shirley, who has brought boundless joy and energy into our home. We are endlessly grateful for the opportunity to be her parents and we know she will be a wonderful big sister

Our Home

We live in a vibrant neighborhood filled with parks, schools, and families. Our home is a cozy space where laughter and love abound. We treasure holiday dinners, spontaneous singing and dancing, and the chance to learn and grow together.

Our Life
We are both close to our families and frequently visit for holidays or extended weekends. There are six other young cousins for our children to grow up with. We are also lucky to have a close-knit group of friends in Chicago. We get together for birthdays, holidays, or just a sunny day.

Our Values
We both love learning and trying new things. We look forward to taking our children on adventures, exploring new places and enjoying experiences together as a family.

We value creating an open and loving home environment for our children where they can have fun, feel the power of education, be free to express themselves, and develop a curiosity for the world around them.
