Matching Gifts

You can double the impact of your donation with matching gifts!

Employee Match

Some employers will match your donation to non-profit organizations like Adoption Center of Illinois. Please check with your employer to see if your company offers employee matching! ACI is happy to provide a copy of our 501(c )(3), tax-exempt documentation or proof of donation as required by employers.

Challenge Match

Occasionally, a generous individual will provide a challenge match during a specific event or appeal. In this situation, they will match other people’s donations up to a certain amount based on a pre-determined set of circumstances, as a donation incentive for others.

Some examples of challenge matches may include:

• any donation made on Giving Tuesday
• increases on individual Gala donations
• the amount donated by first-time donors during the end of the year
